Ultraviolet curing is a photochemical process where ultraviolet light is used to instantly cure or “dry” adhesives, varnish (coatings) or inks. Considered a Green Technology, UV curing has minimal impact on the environment. Typical advantages include lower operating costs, increased production speed, reduced energy requirements, excellent scratch resistance and elimination of solvent recovery costs.

 

UV curing applications include pre-finished hardwood flooring, molding, trim and other woodwork, printing presses, plastic decorating equipment, marking-coding equipment, cabinet doors and furniture components. UV curing for adhesives is used in hundreds of applications from dental to tennis shoes. The uses are only limited by our imagination.

Dizario Industries UV lamps are manufactured for an extensive range of medium pressure mercury arc lamps suitable for all known UV curing systems. Offering outstanding performance, the lamps provide exceptionally good service life and consistent UV output. Dizario Industries UV curing lamps are used world-wide for the curing of inks and coatings in the printing, packaging and labelling industries as well as in a wide range of industrial environments, including CD/DVD manufacture, fibre optic cable production, wood products and electronics.

 

All Dizario Industries UV curing lamps are manufactured from high-clarity, vitreous silica, normally referred to as quartz. Quartz has the property of high-transparency to ultraviolet light, particularly at the shortwave end of the spectrum where over 90% of the UV energy generated is transmitted through the quartz. The electrode components are manufactured using the highest-quality materials, ensuring long and reliable lamp life.

 

Dizario Industries Quality Standard ensures that each lamp is not only manufactured to the most stringent of specifications, but also lamp performance is consistent each time, every time.

 

Technical Specification

Dizario Industries UV curing lamps are manufactured in lengths from 2 cm (less than 1”) to more than 400 cm (160 “) and currently at power outputs of up to 700 Watts per cm (1800 Watts per inch).

 

The lamps can be run on chokes, transformers or electronic power supplies.

 

Dizario Industries lamps include a complete range of original design group lamps, or if required, lamps can be designed to meet customers’ specific requirements.

Short wave UV-lamps have their main emission at 254 nmand are mostly used for air, water and surface disinfectionpurposes.

UVA-lamps emit a spectrum between 350 nm and 400 nm.Their main use is reprography and insect traps.

Due to special quartz glass, the 185nm wave length is blockedfor both types of lamps. So there is no ozone generation.

UVC-Low Pressure Lamps mainly emit UV-radiation in the range of 254 and 185 nm. By using different kinds of quartz glass, the 185 nm line can be blocked or allowed to pass through. In this way, ozone free or ozone producing lamps can be manufactured according to the customer‘s needs. We classify our low pressure lamps as follows: UVN (standard LP- or High-Output lamps) and UVI/UVX (amalgam lamps).

Low pressure lamps can be made in almost every shape. Very popular is the U-shape, making extremely compact installations possible. All lamps are made for applications in air and water.

Technology

The latest manufacturing technologies, our low pressure UVC-lamps offer an excellent power output with a life-time of about 8,000 hours. By using a special interior coating, the life-time can be elongated up to 12,000 working hours.

Linear lamps are produced in standard lengths of up to 2 m and U-shaped lamps up to 1.5 m. Other shapes and lengths are possible - on demand
